Chipotle Video Exposes Factory Farming Industry
Chipotle has released a new animated video to promote it’s video game “The Scarecrow”. This video shines a light on the factory farming industry. In the digital short, a Scarecrow character is employed at a food manufacturing facility where the products are mass-produced on a dimly-lit assembly line and marketed to the public as healthy and natural. In one scene, the protagonist sees animals being injected with drugs that cause them to swell—a reference to the artificial hormones and growth stimulants administered to millions of factory farm animals ever year. The video ends on a happy note with the scarecrow moving out of the city to start his own food business, serving natural food made with locally-grown produce.
